Spring Baseball League

Northern Light Sports is proud to announce the California Rays Spring Season!

The Cal Rays are a USSSA/NCS registered travel baseball club playing in the Diablo 680 Spring League. All home games will be at Concord High School. Practices will also be held at Concord High. In the spring we will be playing approximately 30+ games during the regular season with practice 4 times a week.

Ages

We are currently playing in the 11u Division of the 680 League.

When

What time of the year does this program run?

The regular season starts January 31st, 2024, and runs until mid-May 2024.

Where

All practices will be held at Concord High School.

All Home games will be held at the DVC Softball Field.

Practices

Practices will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Games

How many games will they play?

Cal Rays will play approximately 30-plus games over the course of the season.

Jerseys

Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?

Cal Rays team baseball jerseys and caps are included in the registration fee.

Will there be other team events during the season that are optional?

Baseball is a team sport and as such we will be doing team outing to baseball games as well other team building events. If you are looking for a team that works hard and plays hard the Cal Rays is your team.

Will there be tournaments at the end of the regular season?

Yes, We expect to play in an away (out of state) Spring tournament after the regular season. More detail on tournaments will be provided by Coach Dress at the start of the spring season.

ABOUT THE TEAM:

Cal Rays are a traveling baseball team that will be playing in the 680. Games will be played but not limited to (Danville, Fremont, Lafayette, Martinez, Moraga, Orinda, Piedmont, Pleasant Hill, San Ramon, Tara Hills, Walnut Creek)

MORE ABOUT 680 LEAGUE:

The 680 Diablo League has been in existence for over 10 years, and is made up of Interlocking Baseball Leagues throughout the East Bay in Northern California. The league has 70 teams comprised of seven divisions from age 9 to 14 years old. These teams will play against one another throughout the spring season followed by our league playoffs and championships at Twin Creeks Sports Complex. A group of Interlocking Representatives manages the league.
